If you’re going to be proposing to the one that you love, you want to make sure that this goes as smoothly as possible. You don’t want to be panicking the entire time or wondering if what you’ve planned is right for your relationship. Instead, you want to be cool, collected and confident, knowing that you know your partner, and they’re going to love what you’ve done.

In this article, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the elements that you should be paying special attention to, as they are some of the most important parts of the entire proposal. Want to know more about what they are? Read on.

The Location

We’re going to kick things off by talking about the location. The location of your proposal reveals a great deal about the thought you have put into this. It should be a place that is special to you as a couple, or a place that you know they love. This shows them just how well you know them, and how much you have considered what they like and what they would want.

Of course, the proposal is for you as well because you want to marry your partner, but it’s more about them. It’s about showing them just how much you love them, and that you want to spend the rest of your life with them.

The Words

The next thing that we’re going to be talking about are the words that you say when you propose. Think about what you want to say to your partner well before you get to the proposal day. Write it all out, change the wording over and over, until you get it right.

You’re never going to get another chance to do this, so you need to make sure that you say everything you want to say, leaving no regrets at all. If you feel as though there’s anything you’ve left out of your current draft, edit it and then when you’re happy, get to work memorizing it. People commonly include what they love about their partner, special memories and other important parts of their lives together.

The Ring

Perhaps one of the most important parts of a proposal isn’t really a proposal without a ring! However, finding the perfect ring can take time and effort. Perhaps your significant other has been dropping hints about which ring they would like. This does make it easier when the time comes to buy it and pop the big question. If you are struggling to find the right one, then check out this emerald and baguette setting ring for some inspiration.

Sizing of your ring isn’t too important, as you can take it back to the jeweler to get it resized once you have it on your finger.

We do hope you found this helpful and are now better equipped with key elements of your proposal. Remember, it won’t be perfect for everyone, but it will be perfect for you and that’s all that matters.
