Manila, Philippines — AirAsia Philippines has announced that beginning on March 29, 2026, which falls on a Sunday, all international flights operated by AirAsia Philippines (flight code Z2) as well as those operated by AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK) will be transferred from their usual departure terminal. Specifically, these flights will no longer depart from Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 3 (NAIA T3). Instead, starting from this date, they will be relocated to Terminal 1 (T1), a change that aims to improve passenger experience and operational efficiency. Passengers are advised to arrive early and check their flight details for the updated terminal information to ensure a smooth travel process.

AirAsia Philippines To Operate All International Flights at NAIA Terminal 1 Starting March 29
This terminal transfer is an integral part of New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation’s (NNIC) comprehensive ongoing program to strategically reassign and optimize terminal facilities, with the goal of significantly enhancing operational efficiency and providing an improved passenger experience at the country’s primary international gateway.
Under this new operational arrangement, all AirAsia International services—including check-in, boarding, and baggage claim—will be fully centralized and conducted exclusively at NAIA Terminal 1 (T1), ensuring streamlined procedures and better service coordination.
Guests are strongly advised to arrive at the newly constructed NAIA Terminal 1 (T1) at least three hours prior to their scheduled departure time to ensure ample time for check-in, security procedures, and boarding. Upon arrival, they should carefully follow the signs posted throughout the terminal for directions and assistance from the terminal staff.
Passengers affected by any changes or disruptions will receive notifications via their registered email addresses and mobile numbers via SMS. We recommend that passengers monitor their registered contact details and wait for the notification before proceeding further.
Please note that, starting March 29, only the terminal will change, while the flight schedule remains the same. Flight statuses are available in the AirAsia MOVE app or on the website at www.airasia.com/flightstatus/.
