MANILA, Philippines — Iloilo in the Philippines is recognized as one of Asia’s most budget-friendly vacation spots, according to Agoda’s recent list of affordable summer destinations for June to August 2025, with an average nightly room rate of PHP 2,684*.

Iloilo is renowned for its historical landmarks, vibrant cultural heritage, stunning beaches, and lively culinary scene. Visitors can tour the city’s Spanish colonial churches, savor local delicacies, and unwind on the beautiful beaches of Gigantes and Sicogon Islands nearby.

Surabaya in Indonesia is the most affordable summer destination in Asia, with average room rates of just PHP 1,999* per night. Coming in second are Tirupati, India, at PHP 2,113*, and Hat Yai, Thailand, at PHP 2,227*, making up the top three.

  7. Nagoya, Japan (PHP 5,140 average room rate per night)
  8. Kaohsiung, Taiwan (PHP 5,140average room rate per night)
  9. Daejeon, South Korea (PHP 5,311 average room rate per night)
